An Efficient Cider Mill and Wine Press.

Do-it-your-self wine making pleasure.

The mill uses a 3/4 hp stainless steel food grinder (garbage disposer) mounted in a Corian tub that fits over a 30 gallon barrel.
For apples etc. the finer the pulp the more juice extracted and it grinds very fine. 
Counter top companies usually have cheap leftovers.

The press is a Wisconsin cheese press using a Corian tub and latices.  The press force is applied by using a hydraulic jack.
The tub is 18 " by 24" and the open box is 16" by 16" The fruit after pressing is almost dry.

After fermentation and racking the pleasure remains, even increases!
